About Ardent Ministries

Ministry Overview

Why Ardent?

Ardent, as defined, means “having, expressive of, or characterized by intense feeling; passionate; fervent; intensely devoted, eager, or enthusiastic; zealous”.

“Ardent” describes God’s incredible, all-encompassing love for us. It’s why the cross is referred to as His passion. It’s the way Christ loves us and the way we can grow to love Him in return. It is what connects us to Christ and creates the oneness He prayed we would have with Him. If we seek to know Him more deeply, we will experience more of that great love and learn to reciprocate it with our own ardent love.

Ardently Ministries and our specific women’s ministry, Ardently His, reflect our passionate commitment to living in Christ’s love and sharing it with others. It defines who we are and embodies the fervor with which we seek Him and come to know Him, Love Him, and Trust Him. Being ardently His fuels our passion to serve others, and our dedication to God and our faith.

The Need for Our Ministry

Of the 247 million professed Christians in the U.S.*, the majority do not attend church regularly or have a church membership which means they are likely not part of a body of believers.

According to Gallop Polls, there has been a sharp decline in the following statistics from 2000 to 2023:

Per Gallop “The decline in formal church membership has largely been driven by younger generations of Americans. About one in three U.S. young adults have no religious affiliation. Further, many young adults who do identify with a religion nevertheless do not belong to a church. But even older adults who have a religious preference are less likely to belong to a church today than in the past.”

The decline noted in these statistics on a greater level highlights a significant decline in active engagement in the Christian community.

This data highlights the challenges and needs our ministry aims to address, demonstrating the importance of our work within the body of Christ.

A lack of active engagement equates to little or no discipleship occurring for these individuals and if they are not growing toward Christ, they are wandering further from Him.

Most of these women will not be directly in the church’s sphere of influence to be encouraged directly, thus a different way of reaching them is necessary.

Because many of these are silent sufferers, we feel led to meet them in the place of their suffering which we know Christ often uses as a catalyst for a relationship with Himself.

“A small church inflamed with ardent affection for the divine Lord will do more for Him than a great host consumed by worldliness.”

Charles Spurgeon

As we grow in ardency, our desire to abandon self increases, as does our longing for more of Him. Join us as we ardently seek to know Him more, trust Him more, and love Him more.
